Tutorial: Playing with Alcohol Inks

Today, I will be sharing a three part video tutorial, showing you how to make the above tag. Ok, so 3 parts does not mean really long videos, these are under 4 minutes each and divided as per the stages;
Background, Elements, and Putting It Together.
(Please note that I wasn't able to do the voice over this time, but I have added captions. I've tried to make these as comprehensive as possible, and tried capturing details like, mounting and inking stamps, mounting the felt pad, and fussy cutting etc)

Here they are:

Part 1: Creating Backgrounds with Alcohol Inks
(No audio instructions, captions only: To avoid listening to background noise, please mute)

Part 2: Creating Elements with Alcohol Inks
(No audio instructions, captions only: To avoid listening to background noise, please mute)

Part 3: Putting It Together
(No audio instructions, captions only: To avoid listening to background noise, please mute)

List of Supplies used:

Alcohol Ink Metallic Mixative: Silver

    1. Jiya, I did a quick sample for you with Memento (coca, i don't have black), archival (black) and StazOn (black). Memento didn't do too well, archival worked, while StazOn gave the best result. (Posting a pic in my blog post for you to see the result and decide for yourself)

  2. Ahan - Thank you Saba for an elaborate and practical approach towards my query. I guess I will work with Archival for now as I have it purchased. If I get myself fascinated by the alcohol inks - I will surely invest on Stazon - *I think I better start searching a studio apartment for my craft treasure - my room is already toooooo full :P*

  3. Hello again - I was watching again the tutorial :)
    I must say its a very nice technique, simple and colorful...
    Here I would want to ask, I can see honey comb stamp image at the base of the tag? When did you applied that - after the drying of all inks and was that with Archival too...
    Thanks :)
